You Don’t Need to Know Everything to Get Started

Getting Started Series – Part 1 of 5

You’ve probably got more than enough courses, freebies, and bookmarked advice under your belt to start by now.

You’ve done the research, you’ve spent time learning, you’re not short on ideas or information.

But instead of feeling clearer, you’re overwhelmed.

Because for every person who says “just start,” there’s someone else telling you you need a full business model, a niche, a mapped-out customer journey and three tiers of offers before you even think about putting yourself out there.

And the deeper you go into the learning, the harder it becomes to actually move - because everything seems to contradict everything else.

The truth is, you don’t need to know more. You need to apply what you already know - to who you are, what you value, and how you want your business to work.

Because a lot of the time, the stuckness comes from trying to take action based on someone else’s business… five years into the future. When you’re still figuring out what step one looks like for you.

Why Knowing More Isn’t the Same as Moving Forward

There comes a point where more learning just turns into very organised avoidance.

Because let’s be honest, watching another masterclass feels productive. It keeps your brain busy. It helps you believe you’re making progress.

But what it doesn’t do is bring you any closer to actually building a business that fits you.

It’s not that what you’ve learned isn’t valuable. It’s that without knowing how to apply it in a way that feels right for you, it becomes another thing on the pile of “stuff I should probably be doing” - and ultimately leaves you feeling like you’re being left behind or are failing in some way.

What actually makes the difference isn’t more strategy.

It’s figuring out what part of that strategy even applies to you right now - and what can wait until later.

Because if you’re still trying to figure out your first offer, you don’t need a full-on sales funnel.

If you’re still working out your niche, you don’t need a 90-day content plan.

And if you’re trying to get visible for the first time, you don’t need a brand refresh - you need something that feels safe enough to actually post.

You Don’t Need to Rush In to Figure It Out

This is where a lot of people get stuck - especially the thoughtful ones.

The ones who care deeply, who want to get it right, and who’ve probably helped other people find their clarity, but can’t seem to access their own.

You’ve heard the advice: just start. Take action. Clarity comes through doing.

And yes - sometimes that’s true. Testing and tweaking can bring useful feedback.

But it’s not the full story.

Because if your nervous system is already overloaded, or the rest of your life feels like a bit of a shit show, then throwing something out there just to “see what happens” isn’t freeing - it’s destabilising.

A lot of the time, it’s not that you need to take more action - it’s that the action you could take doesn’t feel safe yet.

You haven’t lined up your ducks - it’s not for lack of trying, but because they’re not your ducks.

And trying to copy someone else’s way of doing things is just creating more friction.

Clarity doesn’t come from forcing yourself forward before you’re ready. It comes from building enough internal and external safety that the next step feels possible - even if it still feels a bit stretchy.

And once that’s in place? - The action-taking takes a whole lot less effort.

That’s the space I work in.

Not pushing you to leap when it still feels shaky, but helping you figure out what’s true for you - so the step you take actually feels doable, not draining.

Sometimes that means clearing the mental noise.

Sometimes it means simplifying the systems.

Sometimes it means dealing with the subconscious and energetic interference that’s running quietly beneath it all.

This is what helps reconnect you with what already feels really clear beneath all the overthinking.

And if you’re in the early stages of building your business - whether that’s just getting started or trying to make your first year feel like something you actually want to sustain - then you need to know:

This entrepreneurial thing will probably be one of the biggest self-development journeys of your life.

So no, you don’t need to “just start.”

You need to start in a way that feels safe, true, and aligned with how you work best.
